How Mass Clarifications Work

Follow these instructions to respond to Mass Clarifications in Symphony.


Prerequisite: 

Notifications and responses to clarifications are only available to Symphony administrators and Open Market Proposal Managers. Ask a company administrator for a role with these permissions as needed (See Figure 1).

1. Select View Details

  1. Go to the Symphony Dashboard for the correct contract vehicle.
  2. Find the proposal Submission(s). 
  3. On the tab that states Submitted, select View Details
  4. The proposal details will be displayed.

 

2. Select Clarifications

notification icon displays on the Clarifications tab when the government requests more information. 

  1. Select the Clarifications tab. 
  2. A clarification response that Needs Attention will be displayed. 
  3. Review the Program Office inquiry. Clarification requests may or may not require a response.


3. Provide a Response

Authorized users can provide a clarification response, attach documents, and save or submit it before the deadline (See Figure 2). A saved response becomes Awaiting Submission to the Program Office.

4. Submit Response

Submit a Mass Clarification response to the Program Office before the clarification deadline. 

Note: Users cannot edit a reply after submission. 


Rules

  • Users will see a Read-Only View of the clarification communications after submissionSubmitted clarifications display the status Responded to the Program Office.
      
  • The clarification documents will not appear in the Submission Documents section of the Document Library since the new requirement is not added to the original offer. The program office team has access to the document(s) in a separate area for tracking.
