To register with Symphony as a government user, follow the step-by-step instructions below. (An instructional video on this topic is also available at the bottom of the page).

Step 1. Start Registering
To access Symphony, click the REGISTER NOW link on the sign-in page (see Figure 1). View the direct registration links at the top of this page to ensure the correct Symphony website is being accessed.

Step 2. Enter an Email Address
For government registration, an email address must end with a .gov or .mil domain.
Step 3. Enter the Validation Code Copy the validation code from the Symphony email and enter it in the browser to continue.
Step 4. Acknowledge the Checklist Answer the questions upon receiving the Symphony checklist. (see Figure 3). (See Multi-Factor Authentication for information about the checklist). | Figure 2. Validation Code Message |

Step 5. Select a Role
Symphony may display four options for using Symphony when the roles are configured. Choose one. (See Figure 4).

Step 6. Enter the Contracting Office Code.
Step 7. Confirm the Organization Using the YES button confirms that the information displayed is correct and an organization is authorized to access Symphony. Clicking NO returns the registration to the previous step. Step 8. Configure the Account and PasswordUsernames are email addresses. A first and last name identifying the account owner and a password meeting requirements must be added to the account. Clicking Cancel at this point stops registration.
Step 9. Configure the Multi-Factor Authentication Method Symphony requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for registration and every sign-in. | Figure 5. The Contracting Office interface |
- Users can choose any time-based authenticator app or SMS delivery of the six-digit code for Multi-Factor Authentication. The MFA code validates this step (see Figure 3).
- Users with international phone numbers must use an authenticator app (See Smartphone Apps for MFA or MFA Browser Extensions).
- Contact us for an MFA reset if this step is not completed.
Step 10. Registration is Complete
A confirmation page displays after a successful registration. Returning to Symphony's main page enables signing in.
