Responding to ASTRO Questions

This overview explains how to respond to questions in Symphony for ASTRO. The required URL for ASTRO ordering activities is https://astro.app.cloud.gov/. 


1. View the Order

Begin by selecting the Order link that is Released-Pending Questions from the Dashboard and select the Respond to Questions tab (see Figure 1).

2. Respond to Questions

Click on a question row to respond to a question that needs attention. The types of responses are listed below

Answer Question

The Answer Question response allows up to 2500 characters. Add a Tag to sort questions into categories. Save options are either Save or Save and Mark for Release.

  • Save gives a Responded status. The Responded state applies a filter that allows users to Mark All For Release at a later time. 
  • Save and Mark for Release is used for individual responses. The status becomes Ready for Release.
      

Reject Question

When users choose to Reject a Question, they can track the rejected question using the Rejected status filter.

Modify Question

When users Modify the Question, they can add Reference Text and rewrite the question. Confirm the changes by selecting Modify Question. The status will not change.

Mark as Duplicate

When users select the Mark as Duplicate response, the status updates to Duplicate.

Mark for Helpdesk

When users select the Mark for Helpdesk response, the status updates to Helpdesk.


3. Review Answers

Draft Responses have been answered but have not been released. Users can direct others to focus on certain tags after they have been categorized and generate a draft for offline review.  

  1. To edit an answer, click on a question to enter a new response, create or add a new tag, or use a previously answered but editable question. 
  2. Save when complete. 


To have the Q&A reviewed, download the file. 

  • Users can then edit the questions again after receiving feedback.  


Use the select box to mark and then move questions to the Ready for Release step after finalizing the answers.


4. Release Responses

Release Responses after reviewing answers. Questions and Answers are visible to all eligible Contract Holders, and Symphony adds the responses to the Q&A document each time it is released.
