Using the Solicitation Preference Feature

Modified on Wed, 14 Aug at 3:24 PM

Symphony saves the Proposal Details and documents to protect the integrity of an offer after a solicitation deadline.

Projects are meant to be reused and modified for multiple proposals (See Documenting Projects/Past Performance). The Solicitation Preference filter allows users to see their projects with the unique criteria for each RFP (See Figure 1).

After a solicitation closes, users can change their My Company assets without affecting a submitted proposal. For example:

  • Using the Alliant 3 filter vs the OASIS+ filter, will change some project details.
  • OASIS+ asks for a numeric Past Performance Rating, and Alliant 3 is an adjectival rating (See Figure 2).

Users can also create new projects with slightly different identifiers to keep projects separate.

Alliant 3 Tip:

  1. Use the Alliant 3 Solicitation Preference before adding new Projects.
  2. As needed, add A3 to the project Title, Contract number, and Document titles to distinguish the project(s) for Alliant 3.

Update the Business Factors if there is an overlap across solicitations (See Making Changes to Business Factors). The Solicitation Preference filter displays the Business Factors that apply to each RFP (See Figure 3).
