Creating a Symphony Business Account

Symphony supports the following contract vehicles:

GSA   =   ALLIANT 3      ASTRO      OASIS      OASIS PLUS      POLARIS     

DHA   =   HEC      MQS-NG      OMNIBUS    (Legacy) MQS


Follow these steps to register as a Symphony business user. For additional guidance, an instructional video link is available at the end of this article.


1. Start Registration

Click Register Now (see Figure 1) after accepting the Official Use message. Choose the correct contract vehicle from the list above. Follow the prompts to set up a preferred method of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) (as discussed in Step 4).


Email Requirements for Registration:

  • Group emails (accounts shared by multiple users) are not supported.
  • An email address can only be linked to one company.
  • A one-time validation code required to continue Symphony registration will be sent to a registrant's email.

Didn't receive the email? Registrants should check their spam or trash folders if the email is not received within a few minutes. If necessary, press Cancel to restart registration.

2. Acknowledge the Requirements

Registrants must check all boxes to confirm their understanding of the requirements before continuing registration (see Figure 2). See Symphony Authentication for further information.

3. Register for an Organization

Enter the correct organization’s SAM.gov UEI (Unique Entity Identifier) and CAGE code. Ensure it is the UEI and CAGE code for the Prime Entity seeking the contract award or holding the contract.

  • Including the CAGE code is required if multiple codes are assigned to the UEI.
  • Do not enter the UEI of a CTA ('Contractor Team Arrangement' Contractor, Subcontractor, or JV (Joint Venture) Member.
  • Verify the CAGE code retrieved from SAM.gov to ensure the registration for the entity is correct.


If the displayed information is correct, select YES to continue.

4. Configure the Account

Create an account and password. Select a time-based Authenticator Application or use Text Messaging for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).


  1. Use an authenticator app to scan the provided QR code (do not use a personal phone camera). 

  2. Enter the six-digit code from the MFA tool without spaces to validate. 



If unable to complete this step, contact us for support. A confirmation page message acknowledges successful registration (see Figure 3)

Email MFA is not an option. Users with international (non-US) phone numbers must use an authenticator app. Refer to Smartphone Apps for MFA or MFA Browser Extensions for help. 


5. Request Activation

After users successfully register, Symphony displays the SAM POC(s) on the confirmation page before an 'Active' SAM POC is identified (see Figure 4).

Administrators are not registered when this list appears.

SAM POC Requirements for Activation

Once registered, contact us with the SAM.go UEI and a copy of the POC details from SAM.gov so we can verify access and activate the account. 


Others Users Seeking Platform Access: 

Users must request access to the platform directly from their organization’s Symphony administrator. User accounts are not automatically activated.


No Registered Symphony Administrator: 
  • Use the Contact link (see Figure 4) to request that the SAM POC registers and signs in using the same UEI and CAGE code.
  • Once the SAM POC is registered and receives Administrator Access, they can activate accounts on the Administration page.
