Posting a Task Order

Modified on Mon, 4 Nov at 6:03 PM

Publish a Task Order in Symphony after signing in as a Government user with these instructions:

Previous Step: Creating a Task Order

When users are ready to release the order, only the Contracting Officer (CO) named on the order can Submit it for approval or release (see Figure 1)

Figure 1. Symphony prevents submission from unauthorized users.

Symphony will display validation messages when an order is incomplete (see Figure 2)

Figure 2. The CO must have a valid order before submission.
The CO can submit orders and amendments for approval or release when an order is complete.

If an order is posted immediately after submission, notifications are immediately sent to the eligible contract holders (see Figure 3).

Figure 3. Eligible contract holders are sent notifications at their "distribution email address" for orders, amendments, and awards, when applicable, immediately after release.

Canceling an Order

A user can cancel an order if they do not want to proceed and do not want to make changes to the current order (see Figure 4)

Figure 4. Users may be required to provide a reason (up to 2500 characters) before canceling an order.

View History

After an order is posted, users can see the order's status, changes over time, and any available comments in the History tab.
